About our events

Three authors

We bring together exceptional authors who wouldn't usually share a stage, from debut writers to household names – whose work spans fiction to non fiction escapist beach reads to incisive memoir, literary fiction to vital polemic. 

Inclusive and welcoming

We have watched many friendships and collaborations blossom through audience members meeting each other at our events. So we offer a Welcome Table at each event, for meeting other FBS attendees. 

One theme

Each event explores a different feminist theme which unites these authors' work – friendship, sex, romance, money, anger, power, wildness, body image, protest, autonomy, revolution, joy, kindness... if it drives change, we want to talk about it.

Fun, relaxed and inspiring

Our events are a joyful, uplifting and often hilarious space to explore and share the issues which affect us all as feminists. We round off each event with a signing with our authors, and we stick around to chat afterwards. 

For publicists

We tend to curate our own panels, but we always want to hear about the hottest forthcoming feminist authors. Please share them with us via our Google Form. We are a small part time team so we won't always be able to respond to ideas right away, and we plan 3-4 months in advance.
